The Lil’ Rascal is such a screamer…definately my favorite in small waves……and even up to shoulder to head high even I’ve had some of my best sessions of the year.

The best board for you for the better days is going to be either the SR-71 for a quick, drivey, top-to-bottom, raily board….or the Blackbird II which is an in-the-lip back foot type of board that likes to break the tail free in turns

This board is incredibly fast in small waves….like a fish, but it has the design features of a more modern board i.e. modern hull contours, more responsive, streamlined outline….to make it much more responsive than a traditional fish

The Lil’ Rascal is a great board….kinda makes small wave surfing feel like your cheating by how easy it is to get speed and throw down turns where normally anyone would be bogging.

The boards you made for me are simply magics…It’s surprising to turn so easy on a gunny board

the Accelerator - designed to make small wave performance surfing easy

• November 8, 2007

To sum it up, the Accelerator is a bit more of an all around performance small wave shortboard…..a little more versatile perhaps than the Rascal in the bigger and pushier stuff….the Rascal is almost like your cheating in small waves by how fast the thing goes……

Basically, I want a board that will allow me to find my way back to ripping and grooving … with the compromise that, at 205, I don’t want a board that requires perfect waves to get up to speed (we don’t get them often enough up here ) ….
